Closely Held Corporation/Shareholder disputes, Retained by a majority shareholder, after summary judgment had been entered against him in favor of the minority shareholder, requiring him to sell his shares under unfavorable terms. Obtained a reversal in the Seventh Circuit.
Benfield v. Steindler and General Electric Co. (S.D. Ohio) Mr. Weltman was co-lead counsel on behalf of shareholders in this derivative action against General Electric Co. in which a settlement of $21 million was obtained.
Country Walk Defective Building Class Action, As co- lead counsel for a class of 1500 homeowners in South Florida, Stewart Weltman obtained a $15 million settlement arising out of defective construction claims.
In Re: PNM Derivative Litigation, As co-lead counsel for a class of shareholders in this derivative action, Mr. Weltman obtained a global settlement of $30 million.
